July Page Text
July is peak summer across much of the northern hemisphere. It’s the busiest travel month for families and schools, but also a time when beaches, festivals and alpine hikes are at their best. Expect heat — and plan ahead to avoid the most crowded hotspots.
Pick July from the month menu. Filter by region or use 'cooler' temperature ranges to find hiking or adventure destinations. Try 'Surprise Me' for hidden gems.
July can be intense in southern Europe, so consider morning explorations and shaded afternoons. Long-haul is trickier due to school holiday pricing, but shoulder-season tropics (e.g. Mauritius) shine. Northern Europe is also at its best.
Where’s not too hot in July? Try Scotland, Norway, Austria, or coastal France.
Is Mauritius good in July? Yes — it’s their dry season with lower humidity.
What’s the best beach destination for families in July? Greek Islands and Portugal are both safe, sunny and family-friendly.
